Memorial Day Parades You Can Still Get To
There are still some SouthCoast Memorial Day parades that have yet to step off, if you're looking to get out and honor the fallen who have fought for our country and our freedom.
Westport Memorial Day Parade
Beginning at 10 a.m. at Westport Town Hall. Veterans will lead the way to the Beech Grove Cemetery (rain day spot: Town Hall Annex Gym).
New Bedford Memorial Day Parade
It starts at 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Hathaway Boulevard and Parker Street and heads to Clasky Common Park for the ceremony. If you know someone who gave their life in service, you're encouraged to bring a single flower for them.
Mattapoisett Memorial Day Parade
It begins at 1:30 p.m. at Center School with an opening ceremony. The parade will finish Town Wharf with stops along the way to honor the brave men and women who served.
