I am a medium to high energy guy, though I do settle down after I get my exercise and I'm very quiet in my room. I love to run in the yard and chase after toys. I'm a happy, outgoing dog who's tail is always wagging. I am affectionate and sweet with people. I just want people to know that I really love them! I have some puppy tendencies (like jumping and being stubborn!) so I will probably need some basic training to kick those habits. I will make a wonderful companion for an active family who wants to take me on adventures. I haven't been socialized very much with other playful dogs it seems...I prefer slow introductions with other dogs. But once I get to know other dogs I love to run and play and even do some tug-of-war!

Please contact the Lighthouse Animal Shelter for more information on Toby. You can also start the adoption process online or schedule a time to meet him.  Lighthouse Animal Shelter is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 organization that works to promote the welfare of animals at risk of euthanasia. In addition, we work with the community to maximize efforts in reducing pet overpopulation. We rescue all of our dogs from high-kill shelters down south (the majority being from Kentucky, South Carolina, and North Carolina) and transport them to our shelter for adoption. The adoption fee for all dogs is $375. This helps cover the cost of medical care received. All dogs are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
