I am a wiggle worm. When I see someone I love my entire body wiggles. I love cuddles and I like to be a lap dog...I have learned that "accidentally" falling into someone's lap is the most effective method in order to receive what they call the belly rubs. I am an affectionate guy and like attention from people. I also love to play with dogs and am energetic when playing outside! I am not a fan of my crate although I am learning quickly with the help from my human friends at Lighthouse...they are teaching me that it's not so bad. Some day I will get it, I promise! I love to play fetch in the yard and am very toy and food motivated. I am a smart guy who knows how to sit and will likely learn new tricks pretty quickly. I can be protective of my people and territorial so I will need some training to help me with that behavior and should probably not live with small children. I am house broken and the home I previously lived in said they left me loose when I was home alone and I didn't get into any trouble!

Please contact the Lighthouse Animal Shelter for more information on Bean. You can also start the adoption process online or schedule a time to meet him.  Lighthouse Animal Shelter is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 organization that works to promote the welfare of animals at risk of euthanasia. In addition, we work with the community to maximize efforts in reducing pet overpopulation. We rescue all of our dogs from high-kill shelters down south (the majority being from Kentucky, South Carolina, and North Carolina) and transport them to our shelter for adoption. The adoption fee for all dogs is $375. This helps cover the cost of medical care received. All dogs are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
