Massasoit State Park in Taunton Has Been Littered With Vulgar and Lewd Graffiti

It is unfortunate news that someone has vandalized and desecrated Massasoit State Park.
East Taunton's family campground is popular in the summertime, attracting families and campers from all over to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. Whether you're setting up camp in an RV or a tent, it's a great area to escape from the outside world. Adults and kids of all ages can enjoy the beach area or simply cook some s'mores over the fire pit.
It gives "living life the way it should be" vibes and I'm all about it. Sadly, there are always a couple of bad eggs to ruin it for everyone.
While visiting the State Park, a fellow camper by the name of Dawn Ward Gould discovered the vandalized property near and around her favorite spot. Officials were notified immediately and she tells her story:
"I went to Massasoit State Park today to hang up my hammock in my favorite place on the lake. I do this a few times a week if I can. I have no yard because I live in a condo now and I appreciate this special place more than you know. It’s like going to church or therapy for me. I got there today and found it completely desecrated with spray paint! Every tree, the big rock, and even the ground was sprayed with profanities and lewd images. I literally cried.
Who would do something like this to such a beautiful place? Who brings three cans of spray paint into a state park with the sole purpose of destroying it? I just don’t understand the lack of respect for nature and beauty. I did report it and I feel bad for the guys that have to go out there to try to clean it up. How do you get spray paint off of tree bark? Maybe we can find who did it by the initials on the rock? I believe it was done today because the paint smelled so strong. I would love to hold them accountable and make them clean it up at the very least."
One of the rocks that was spray painted is allegedly the initials of the culprits involved and unfortunately is the only clue left behind to find the people responsible for these crude and lewd acts. The rock was spraypainted "A.O + K.N".
If anyone has any leads or connections to the inappropriate graffiti artists, please contact the Middleboro State Police Department or the staff at Massasoit State Park with all or any information. Especially since it's a family-friendly park with children running around everywhere. There's no need for this indecent destruction of property.
