What's Considered

More than 3,000 towns across the country were considered by Action Network.

They ranked the towns based on the following criteria:

  • Population size
  • Small-business density
  • Historic places per 1,000 residents
  • December snowfall

All the makings of a Christmas movie.

Picture it: small-town girl heads to the big city, dates a guy for a few years, is forced to go back home to help her family save their small farm, runs into her childhood love, rekindles the romance, gets a visit from her finance-savvy boyfriend from the big city, is torn between the two men, but eventually is able to save the farm and share a kiss under the mistletoe with her hometown love.

Top Hallmark Towns In MA and RI

A bit of Hallmark magic is just a drive away.

Woburn, Massachusetts ranks as the most Hallmark town in the Bay State while Newport, Rhode Island takes the title in the Ocean State.

No surprise there, as a Hallmark movie was filmed there just this past summer.
