The SouthCoast has seen many film crews use our area as a backdrop for some pretty big films. A local business owner believes he has the perfect setting for them to return.

Most recently, the Hallmark Channel wrapped up filming A Newport Christmas in Newport, Rhode Island. No denying that Newport has quite the scenery.

Red Oak Hospitality owner Karl Pelletier prides himself on creating stunning holiday pop-ups at all of his establishments. One might even say he was among the first in the area to do it.

Why Red Oak Hospitality Stands Out for Filmmakers

Red Oak Hospitality is the parent company that owns familiar establishments such as Tipsy Toboggan, Canned Heat Craft Beer, Gathering Ground Cafes, the Fall River Carousel, Old Grist Mill Tavern, and the Edna House. Each of them are decked out for the holidays, and it is no easy undertaking.

If you have ever visited one of these establishments over the holidays, you know the magic that has been so carefully curated to allow patrons to create lasting memories, as well as the perfect photo opportunity.

It's why Pelletier and his staff believe they have the perfect backdrop for film crews to make the next Hallmark Channel holiday classic movie.

How the Community Can Help Attract Hallmark

A recent post asked Red Oak Hospitality's patrons to help it get noticed by the Hallmark Channel.

I think Pelletier is on to something. He and his team have basically done all the heavy lifting with the décor. What do you think? Would you help bring Hollywood back to the SouthCoast?

If so, help them get noticed by the people at the Hallmark Channel.
