If the freezing cold temps of January have you itching to get away, you're in luck. The New York Times' list of 52 Places to Go in 2025 has been released.

The list features places from all over the world and while some destinations like Italy, Greece, Australia and England come as no surprise, one in particular may surprise you.

The destination listed as No. 23 is none other than historical Lexington and Concord right here in Massachusetts.

Considered historical landmarks, Lexington is home to the "shot heard 'round the world." Back on April 19,1775 the first shots of the American Revolution marked the beginning of the battle between American colonies and Great Britain.

The battle continued in nearby Concord, where the British were met by colonial militia who stood their ground and pushed back in a battle at the North Bridge.

It's pretty incredible that a historic Massachusetts site is among a list of worldwide travel destinations. If you're looking for some travel inspiration, take a look at the other locations that made the list:
