A famous Massachusetts native is returning home to her alma mater to deliver the commencement address to the Class of 2026.

Rachel Dratch Returns to Dartmouth Spotlight

Rachel Dratch has been selected for the honor by Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. Based on her recent social media post, she's thrilled.

"Dartmouth Class of 2026! See you in Hanover!" she wrote.

Not only did her Instagram post share her excitement, it was announced in a very SNL-way. If you're unfamiliar, Saturday Night Live posts its upcoming lineup with colorful cards displaying the date of the performance, host and musical guest.

Per her post, she'll be making her triumphant return to Dartmouth College on Sunday, June 14.

From Dartmouth to Saturday Night Live

The Lexington, MA native made a name for herself when she was cast on Saturday Night Live in 1999.

Her SNL career spanned many years. During her time on the hit show, she created iconic roles: putting a damper on things as Debbie Downer, showing off her accent alongside Jimmy Fallon as Denise from Boston and holding back laughter while sitting in a hot tub with Will Ferrell in the "Love-ahs" sketch.

A Career Beyond SNL

Though she left the show after the 2005–2006 season, Dratch never left the comedy biz.

She's starred in dozens of movies and shows including Adam Sandler flicks Just Go With It and Click, and Wine Country with her friends and former SNL castmates Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph and Ana Gasteyer.

Personally, I've been a fan of Dratch for years, so I'm a bit envious of the Class of 2026 as they get ready for her commencement address. In addition to sharing her advice, I'm hoping for a few jokes, a Boston accent and maybe even a Red Sox mention come June 14.
