Massachusetts State Trooper Struck By Motorcycle After Patriots Game
A Massachusetts State Trooper on traffic duty outside of Gillette Stadium was struck by a motorcyclist after Sunday afternoon's game.
NECN reports that the trooper was working at a parking lot on Route 1 when he was struck around 4:30 p.m.
Other troopers were trying to stop the motorcyclist near the main entrance of another parking lot when he reportedly tried to flee, drove against the flow of traffic and struck the trooper.
The officer struck was taken to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries. The motorcyclist, 25-year-old Jose Perez-Rodriguez was taken Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston with unknown injuries.
Perez-Rodriguez is in state police custody and depending on his medical condition, is expected to face charges.
