Fourth of July

Fall River

Date: Thursday, July 4

Time: Festivities begin at 5 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.

Admission: Free or $15 to watch the fireworks from the deck of the USS Massachusetts at Battleship Cove.

Important Details: There will be food trucks, music and events at the multiple locations. Gates for the USS Massachusetts open at 7:30 p.m. with the last admission being at 8:45 p.m.

Falmouth

Date: Thursday, July 4th (Friday, July 5th)

Time: At dusk

Address: Falmouth Heights Beach

Admission: Free

New Bedford

Date: Thursday, July 4 (Rain date Wednesday, July 5th)

Time: Fireworks at 9 p.m.

Address: Lower Union Street between North Water and Route 18 will be one of the best spots downtown to view the fireworks.

Admission: Free

Important Details: Lower Union Street between North Water and Route 18 will be closed to vehicle traffic. Parking will be available in the Elm Street and Zeiterion garages. The state pier will also be closed for safety reasons.

Plymouth

Date: July 4

Time: 9:30 pm

Important Details: Food trucks with a festive party before the Fireworks show. If you arrive at the Beach Campus before 5 p.m., you will need your parking pass for the beach. There will be no parking at the beach after 5:30 p.m., only drop-offs.

North Providence

Important Details: Expect heavy traffic delays on Oakland Beach Avenue. Try to seek alternate routes to the seawall area. The fireworks can also be seen from City Park.

Fourth of July

Newport

Time Approximately 9:15 p.m.

Admission: Free, but they are taking donations

Important Details: Best viewing is anywhere along Newport Harbor, facing west. Visitors are encouraged to use any one of the city’s public parking lots due to limited parking.

Portsmouth

Important Details: Parking at the Inn is limited to registered guests and families. There will be traffic delays.

South Kingstown
