
Massachusetts’ Most Iconic Snack Will Make You Think of Childhood
When it comes to snacks, every state has one they claim as their own.
Whether it is actually a snack only your state makes or just one that the population enjoys the most, these regionally-specific foods can bring back memories of your hometown in an instant.
Especially in Massachusetts, where the recently dubbed 'most iconic snack' definitely brings you right back to childhood.
According to TastingTable.com, a website for food and drink enthusiasts, every state has an iconic snack.
From state specific brands of chips to regional delicacies, Tasting Table broke down the snacks that are most unique to a specific state, not necessarily the most popular in that state.

Though for Massachusetts I think the chose one that is both iconic and popular - at least a kid birthday parties.
That's because the beloved Hoodsie Cup was dubbed the most iconic snack in Massachusetts.
Though I think you could also argue for the aptly named Cape Cod Potato Chips, Tasting Table chose the Hoodsie cup instead, arguing for longevity (created in 1947) and simple concept.
The iconic Hoodsie, a small cup of half vanilla, half chocolate ice cream with a wooden spoon for consuming (yes, you have to use the wooden spoon IMO), is still served a children's birthday parties across the state. I know I've had them at every kids party since my girls were born.

They're easy to serve, feature flavors everyone enjoys and clean up easy peasy.
Hard not to love these "most iconic snacks in Massachusetts."
