Massachusetts Landmark Ranked #2 in America
Thanksgiving means friends and family traveling around the country to be with one another for the holiday. If you are hosting guests at your home, in between the leftover turkey sandwiches and pumpkin pie, it can also mean trying to fill a 4 day weekend with some fun things to do. After you've finished touring Plimoth Patuxet (my annual favorite), you may be looking for other things to do.
That's why we thought you'd be interested in hearing about a new ranking of the best value for your money on attractions in America. According to Betway Insider, remarkably, there's a local, Massachusetts attraction that beats out American attractions like: Mount Rushmore, the Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, The Alamo, St. Louis' Gateway Arch, Yellowstone and Yosemite National Parks, and the Statue of Liberty, just to name a few.
It's hard to believe that all of these larger than life, iconic American landmarks rank lower than one located right in the heart of Boston. That's right! The Freedom Trail is tied for second best valued tourist attraction in all of America!
Boston's Freedom trail only costs $5 per person. Incredibly, it has received a whopping 99.3% rate for positive reviews, earning a total score of 9.77 out of a possible 10.
That score ties Philadelphia's Independence Hall (which only costs $1) and Hawaii's Pearl Harbor Museum, which is also priced at only $1.
Similar to the Duck Boats, Boston's Freedom Trail is one of those touristy things to do that most Bostonians have never done. However, maybe it's time to check out what our fellow American's have been raving about for decades. After all, it's virtually in our backyard!
