A Cape Cod women says her daughter's school superintendent came uninvited into her home this week.

Marilyn King, whose daughter is enrolled at Mashpee High School, has filed a police complaint against Mashpee schools Superintendent Brian Hyde claiming he barged into her home on Tuesday morning demanding to know if her 17-year-old daughter lived there.

The Cape Cod Times is reporting that King claims Hyde "let himself in" to her home and made his way to her daughter's room where he then went through drawers to see if her clothes were there and she actually live in the recently purchased house.

Hyde says he was following school residency policy and entered the house lawfully. He claims he was "invited into the house and asked to view a room identified as the student’s bedroom,” but says he never actually entered the room.

King did go to the police on Wednesday morning to file an official complaint against Hyde and they are investigating the incident.

It could be up to a week before police decide if charges will be filed.

In the meantime, Hyde is remaining on the job as superintendent and Isabel King has returned to classes at Mashpee High School.
