How often have you found yourself deep into a grocery run only to be struck by the urgent need for a restroom?

If you’re anything like me, it always seems to happen at the most inconvenient time —usually when I’m at the farthest reaches of the store. As a Market Basket shopper, I know this dilemma well. The restrooms are tucked away by the café up front.

The restaurants people know about anyway.

Well, here’s something that might come as a surprise: Market Basket has a hidden gem— a second restroom, and it’s quite the shortcut for shoppers who feel miles away from the front. Tucked away between the deli and seafood departments along the back wall, this restroom is easily overlooked. The sign is small and blends in, so it’s no wonder most shoppers miss it. But don’t be fooled — this isn’t an employee-only bathroom. It’s public, and it’s conveniently located for those of us who need a quick stop while making our way through the aisles.

I did my homework and can confirm that this restroom hack is available at both the New Bedford and Fall River Market Basket locations, and it can be a game changer for your shopping experience.
