Man Seriously Injured In Taunton Hit & Run

Taunton Police are investigating a hit & run that left a man seriously injured.

Police tell WCVB-TV that the incident took place around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday on State St.

The victim was dragged almost two blocks before he was left close to Bay St.

Residents who ran to the scene said the man was unable to move due to the seriousness of his injuries and that he was screaming.

The victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with a leg injury but police say he was able to give them enough information to potentially identify the driver, but officials are still searching for that individual and the vehicle involved.
