The Southcoast continues to clear snow from the Blizzard of 2015.  If your car is still buried in snow, don't forget to clear off more than just your windows.

Carbon monoxide poisoning happens easier than you think when the tailpipe becomes clogged with snow. According to Boston.com, city officials had to respond to one case of carbon monoxide poisoning during the blizzard, but it was non-fatal.

However, many people aren't as lucky. In 2013, a 14 year-old died waiting in a running car while his dad shoveled snow.

Since the tailpipe isn't the first thing people think of when dealing with massive amounts of snow, Massachusetts officials are urging residents to be aware of the dangers.

Keeping your car well ventilated is just as important safety-wise as being able to see out of your windshield.
