Major Faunce Corner Road Construction starts today

The Faunce Corner Road 1-195 intersection construction will begin today.

Be prepared for backups in what is already one of the most congested areas in Dartmouth.  How long will the construction take?  About 2 ½ years!  Completion date is May of 2017.  It’s part of a $20.8 million road project to improve the road conditions on the overpass.  There are no planned detours at this time.

The project started after the Southeastern Planning and Economic Development District, (SRPEDD) in 2007, the intersection was found to be one of the busiest in the region!
