Live where you love and love where you live.On Thursday, August 25th, 2016, a local photographer captured the positive angle of the Southcoast as well as our attention.

Fall River Native Kelsey Garcia of K. Garcia Productions started a movement in the Bristol County area by photographing and promoting local figures, representatives and businesses (primarily within the design, clothing and textile industry).

Fall River, Swansea, Westport, New Bedford, Mattapoisett, Dartmouth, Freetown, Fairhaven and Somerset were represented on clothing donated by The Landing of New Bedford, 1ove3 Collection, Electrikk Clothing, Fnurra Smycken Jewelry, Beachside Bubbles & Beads, Trevor James Products of Mattapoisett, Almost Fancy Designs of Dartmouth and Velo.

Each Southcoast City/Town were modeled by public figures such as Swansea Selectman Christopher Carreiro, Miss Southcoast 2016- Jillian Zucco, New Bedford City-Councilman Steven Martins, Fall River Entrepreneur Aaron Couto, Kaitlin Garcia (Sister of Kelsey), Fall River Mayor Jasiel Correia II, Miss Bristol County's Outstanding Teen Stacie Hartman, UMass Dartmouth DECA President Joel Martins Jr., UMass Dartmouth Student Margaret Ferreira, Jason Springer, Brianna Alves, Nadia Lucier, Carls Collision CEO/Owner Carl Garcia, State Representative Carole Fiola, Shelby Goodman, Alexandria Murphy, Christopher Covello, 'Big Brother' Star Jason Roy,  Miss New Bedford Kristen Rose and Fun 107's Gazelle.

The night of the showing was very successful filled with upbeat music, appetizers and hundreds of people showed up in support. The Hashtag #SouthcoastStyle was used to capture the night and there was even a snapchat filter for all who had the app.

In conclusion... Ms. Garcia's project was inspirational and effective. It's relieving to see such positive work transform into a powerful expression of dedication to the arts and to the Southcoast.

Kudos, Ms. Garcia.... Kudos.
