Local Girl Starts Toy Drive For Boston Children’s Hospital
A trip to the hospital really isn't anyone's idea of a good time, and it can be even tougher on a kid. So one local girl is trying to make hospital stays a little easier for kids at Boston Children's Hospital.
Last week Paetyn was admitted to Children's Hospital to be treated for a severe infection in her finger, and she soon discovered that staying in the hospital over the weekend can be very boring.
Turns out that the games, movies and activities offered to kids are locked up over the weekend and the Child Life services aren't available either. So staying at the hospital all weekend long can end up being pretty boring.
That's where Paetyn comes in. This amazing young girl from Marion wants to make sure other kids don't have to spend their weekends in the hospital with nothing to do, so she is collecting toys, games and movies to donate to each wing of Boston Children's Hospital.
She calls them Paetyn's Fun Boxes and you can help fill them up!
Donations are being accepted at 5 Ducklings in Marion all weekend long. You can stop by to drop goods off or you can contact Paetyn and her mother Meagan to set up another donation site by emailing Paetynsfunbox@gmail.com.
