Two local favorites have teamed up to launch a tasty craft beer created for a good cause.

Raw Seafoods in Fall River and Grey Sail Brewing in Westerly, Rhode Island have been working together for weeks on creating a new craft beer flavor that will hopefully help clean up local waters.

The pair call it the City Pier Double IPA and the new brew is available at Grey Sail's Westerly location on Canal Street and in liquor stores throughout Rhode Island right now.

But this week, they're throwing the craft beer a coming out party.

On Wednesday, October 18, Grey sail Brewing is hosting a launch party for the beer that aims to help keep the world's oceans clean.

Proceeds from all of City Pier's sales are going to support Clean Ocean Access, a non-profit out of Middletown, Rhode Island that works to keep local beaches trash free, improve coastal water quality, remove debris from marina waters and so much more.

You can support this fantastic cause simply by eating seafood and having a brew or two.

The launch party is for those 21 and over (of course) and takes place at Grey Sails' Canal Street location.

From 5pm-8pm you can sample the new brew, described on social media as "a superb craft elixir of hazy hoppiness that explodes with multisensory pine, floral, and citrus notes, thanks to a badass hopping of Citra and Chinook hops."

You'll likely get great seafood pairing suggestions too.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery.
