Not only is it spooky season, it's wedding season, too!

October and September are now the most popular months to get married in the Bay State. Whether it’s the backdrop of fall foliage or the relief of less humidity, no one really knows.

Nevertheless, couples are tying the knot right now and doing what they can to personalize their special day.

From cutting the cake with a sword to releasing butterflies or hosting themed weddings, couples are pulling out all the stops to make their day unique.

That's exactly what one of the stars of Hocus Pocus did at The Pickering House in Salem.

Saying "I Do" in Salem


Larry Bagby is known for his role as Ernie "Ice" in the 1993 film Hocus Pocus. You may recall his character was the school bully who picked on Max and even took his sneakers.

Bagby said "I do" to his bride in the spooky city over the weekend, complete with a spell book and Sanderson sisters.

Salem's Black Hat Society shared its excitement about being part of the special day. "I was honored and humbled to have been asked to officiate Larry and Vero Bagby’s Wedding" the society posted on Instagram. The couple was surrounded by friends, family and former cast members.

Bagby and his former castmates were in Salem for a few events.

They attended the "It's Just a Buncha Halloween" event at Salem Waterfront Hotel where they met fans, took pictures and signed autographs.

On Sunday, October 5, they gathered on stage at The Cabot Theatre for a special showing of Hocus Pocus with live commentary.
