Kyle is a playful and adventurous child who loves exploring new experiences, especially when guided by an engaging and energetic adult. His contagious laughter and willingness to be silly make every interaction enjoyable.

Some of his favorite activities include rolling and throwing a ball, making animal sounds, playing hide-and-seek, and peek-a-boo. He especially enjoys when staff join him on the mat for interactive play.

Kyle often seeks out staff for squeezes and enjoys sitting on their lap to bounce. He loves balancing on the "peanut ball" and swinging, and he is highly motivated by water play, such as using the water table and water mat in the classroom. He also enjoys a range of sensory experiences, including playing at the sand table, exploring shaving cream on his desk, and using a sensory brush on his arms.

When it’s time to wind down, Kyle likes relaxing on the bean bag while watching his favorite videos on the SmartBoard. He also enjoys interacting with apps on the SmartBoard and iPad, engaging in activities like playing piano, shape matching, exploring farm animals, listening to music, and enjoying interactive stories.

Who Can Adopt?

If you’re at least 18, have a stable source of income and have room in your heart, you may be a perfect match to adopt a waiting child.

Adoptive parents can be single, married or partnered; experienced or not; renters or homeowners; LGBTQ+ singles and couples.

As an adoptive parent, you won’t have to pay any fees. Adoption from foster care is completely free in Massachusetts.

Adopting a child from foster care includes training, interviews and home visits to determine if adoption is right for you. These steps will help match you with a child or sibling group that will be a good fit.

To learn more about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at (617) 964-6273 or visit www.mareinc.org. Start the process today and give a waiting child a permanent place to call home.
