Krave Restaurant and Bar in New Bedford Has Closed Its Doors for Good

It's unfortunate news to announce yet another small business closure in New Bedford.

When Krave Restaurant and Bar opened up on Acushnet Avenue back in 2019, they brought to the city something unique and very tasty. It all began when two local women, owners Boramy Green and Kerrie Gomes, came up with a concept that can't be found anywhere. Of course, you can drive to Providence for some Shaking Crab, but what separates Krave from the competition is the Asian-infused recipe. The heat, the spice, the flavor, all of it blends so smoothly when face-to-face with a seafood boil.

Wash it down with one of their smooth cocktails and it was a mouthwatering experience that's gone indefinitely.

The restaurant took to its social media accounts on Friday, December 8th with the following message:

Dear Valued Patrons,
It is with a mix of emotions that we share this heartfelt message with our cherished Krave community. After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to permanently close Krave Restaurant and Bar.

This journey has been incredibly rewarding, thanks in no small part to the unwavering support and loyalty of customers like you. Your patronage has been the heartbeat of Krave, and for that, we extend our deepest gratitude.
We want to express our appreciation for the memories shared, the laughter echoing through our walls, and the joyous moments celebrated. Your support has been the cornerstone of our establishment, and we are profoundly grateful for the relationships formed within these walls.

To our staff who stood with us throughout our journey, we appreciate your dedication and loyalty even through our struggles. It didn’t go unnoticed.

As we say goodbye, please know that your presence and support have left an indelible mark on our hearts. We are immensely thankful for the privilege of serving you and being a part of your lives.

This chapter may be closing, but the memories and connections forged will forever remain a cherished part of Krave's legacy. Thank you for being an integral part of our journey.

From the few times I visited Krave, I never had a bad meal, and always left full and satisfied. The country fried chicken melted in my mouth, the sriracha aioli salmon had the perfect amount of zing, and the KRAVE “kicked up” fries had a delicious drizzle of housemade white honey BBQ sauce and bacon that knocked my socks off. The 1/2 pound Cajun seafood boil spoke for itself and the martini flight was the perfect compliment to a long busy day.

From Chuck's China Inn to Krave and now to an empty nest full of potential, who knows what will take its place. The area is busy, there's ample parking if you look hard enough and plenty of space on the inside to pack a house.

A new business could be ready to go as early as January 1st, 2024. There's nothing left to do but remember the good times, and the tasty cuisine and wait patiently for the next chapter in the brick building that stands strongly along Acushnet Avenue.
