Day 5 - Super Bowl Quarterbacks
Doug Williams was born August 9, 1955. In 1988 he would become the first African American quarterback to start a Super Bowl, win a Super Bowl, and be named Super Bowl MVP.
Williams and the Washington Redskins roasted NFL legend John Elway and the Denver Broncos to the tune of 42-10. Williams himself went 18 for 29 for 340 yards. He also threw four touchdowns on his way to being named Super Bowl XXII MVP.
The next African American quarterback to win a Super Bowl wouldn't come until 2014 with Russell Wilson, who also roasted the Broncos 43-8.
