Are you a crafter making masks for local healthcare workers? Well JOANN Stores has some great news.

The nationwide chain craft store has pledged to give those sewing masks, gowns and other medical supplies for local healthcare workers free fabric to do it.

Amazing.

I seriously love all these stories of companies coming together in the country's time of need.

From the local SouthCoast restaurants delivering food to healthcare workers to the national car companies making much needed ventilators for hospitals, people are coming together both at home and across the country.

And if you are looking to give back too and know how to sew, then maybe making a few masks or hospital gowns is the way you can help.

And JOANN stores is making it so easy.

They've actually put together small mask making kits that include the fabric and elastic you would need to make some.

You can call your local store to see if they have any of the kits available and then use the store's new curbside pick up option to swing by and get everything you need without ever leaving your car.

The kits are of course first come, first serve and when we called the Dartmouth JOANN Store they had only a few left as they were running out of elastic.

But they are open until 5 p.m. today and you can still swing through to get a kit if you really want to give back and make some masks.

Hopefully as store supplies get restocked, more kits would become available because it doesn't sound like the need for these masks will change anytime soon.

Happy sewing!
