One of the most highly anticipated events of the Halloween season is gearing up for another amazing year.

One of New England’s favorite fall traditions, the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular, returns to Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence on Friday September 26 with thousands of intricately carved pumpkins.

Get ready to enjoy a feast for the eyes along with a test for your brain, with Roger Williams Park Zoo’s Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular: Trivia - 2nd Edition.

 

What To Expect Along the Pumpkin Trail

Yes, the popular theme from the 2024 Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular is returning for a second season of pumpkins carved with brain buster questions and their answers spread out along the pumpkin trail.

But don’t think you just have to answer tricky trivia questions all night. The pumpkin path will also be filled with pumpkins featuring favorite moments in pop culture, sports, history and more.

Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular 2025 Dates & Tickets

The new season of the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular will run from September 26 through November 2, 2025, with a special preview night for members on Thursday September 25 and an adults-only night for November 2.

Tickets for prime nights (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) are $23 for adults and $19 for children. All tickets are sold online in advance with discounts for mid-week visits.

Special Event Nights at Roger Williams Park Zoo

There are also special nights throughout this season’s run, like family nights on October 8 and 9 where guests can enjoy a meet and greet with costumed characters from 6-8 p.m.

There are also Sensory Nights on October 22 and 23 from 5-6 p.m. when the event opens early for individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences and the pumpkins will be illuminated without sound or special effects.

Just remember that the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular is a rain or shine event, with no refunds for tickets on nights with light to moderate rain.
