Sophie Turner Learned of Divorce Through Press, Suing Joe Jonas: REPORT
Sophie Turner is reportedly suing her estranged husband Joe Jonas.
Page Six reports Turner is suing Jonas for the return of their two young children. In the motion filed in a Manhattan court on Sept. 21, Turner is seeking the "immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained."
Turner claims the "wrongful retention" of their children began on Sept. 20, and that Jonas has been withholding their daughters' passports from her.
Court documents obtained by the publication note Turner and Jonas originally agreed to move to the U.K. and were even looking at schools for their eldest child.
The former couple reportedly found a house to rent with the intention to purchase, and officially began to relocate back in April.
According to the documents, Turner, who has been overseas filming the miniseries Joan, agreed for Jonas to take the kids "with hesitation" when he went on tour with the Jonas Brothers as he had more free time during the day while the kids were awake.
However, the agreement was only meant to be temporary.

Page Six also reports Turner was blindsided by Jonas' divorce filing, which she allegedly learned of through the press. Court documents allege the dissolution of their marriage happened "very suddenly.
The publication notes the former couple met up two weeks after Jonas filed for divorce on Sept. 5, during which Turner “reiterated” their initial plan to move out of the U.S.
Page Six reports Jonas' attorney confirmed his client will neither return their children's passports to Turner nor consent to their daughters leaving the country.
Jonas and Turner met in 2016 and got married in 2019. They have two daughters together: Willa, 3, and a second daughter, 14 months.
