Matthew Perry's Final Instagram Post Was of Him in Hot Tub

Just days before Matthew Perry was found dead in his hot tub, the Friends star shared an eerie photo of himself sitting in his Jacuzzi outside.

Perry posted the photo of himself enjoying his at-home hot tub to Instagram on Oct. 23.

"Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I'm Mattman," he captioned the snapshot of himself sitting in his hot tub with his headphones on, the L.A. cityscape behind him.

Perry had been using the term "Mattman" on social media in recent weeks as a reference to Batman.

A day prior to his final Instagram photo, he shared a video of the moon outside and captioned it, "Do you understand what I'm trying to tell you? ... I'm Mattman."

Perry died Saturday (Oct. 28) at the age of 54. He was discovered by his assistant, who had been running an errand while Perry used his hot tub.

Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Brian Humphrey told NBC News that first responders were dispatched to Perry's home for a "water emergency." Humphrey confirmed that nobody was taken to the hospital. Later reports suggested Perry's death was an accidental drowning.

The Los Angeles Times reports authorities arrived at his home a little after 4PM local time after his assistant called 911. Sources told the outlet there was no sign of foul play, however, the Los Angeles Police Department’s robbery and homicide division will be investigating his death.
