The Boston Bruins may have skated inside Fenway Park, but this winter you could be skating just outside the ballpark.

An outdoor ice-skating rink is set to open just outside Time Out Market this December. A first for the Fenway area.

Right now the spot is a nice, flat one-acre lawn. But in about a month it will be the location of the approximately 6,000-square-foot Rink at 401 Park in the Fenway.

Boston.com shared some sweet renderings of what the new skating rink will look like and it should be a huge hit with families, college kids and many more.

And with some snow already in the five-day forecast, we're all starting to think winter right?

I love a good outdoor skating rink. There is something super festive and fun about them.

Of course it's not just for the holidays that this new skating rink at Fenway will be open.

No, fans of outdoor ice skating can plans on months of winter fun (as long as Mother Nature is onboard).

And it sounds like lots of fun is planned for the rink all season too.

Organizers say there will be theme nights, live DJs and sporting events.

There will also be skating lessons available for those who have never spent much time on ice skates.

No word on what the cost to skate here will be. But there will be discounted tickets for seniors, students and kids under 18.

So as the temperatures start to drop, don't get bummed. Get excited that outdoor fun like ice skating will be coming that much sooner.
