How to Record a Bulldog or Blue Devil Football Shout Out

Fun 107 is looking to give some love to two SouthCoast football teams heading to the state semi-finals this weekend.  Old Rochester will play Shawsheen Tech in Scituate Friday night.  The reigning Division 6 Champions, the Fairhaven Blue Devils, head to Milford on Saturday afternoon to play Swampscott.  Both Fairhaven and Old Rochester are one win away from the state championship game.

If you'd like to record a Blue Devil or a Bulldog Shout Out, just open the Fun 107 app, hit the dropdown menu in the upper left hand corner, and tap "submit audio."  You can wish your favorite player, coach, or the whole team good luck.  Fun 107 will play them on the air up until kickoff.

When you think about all the years of work that went into these two football teams being in the position to win a state title, it really is remarkable.  So many hours spent reviewing film, so many after school afternoons, so many times when they probably could have used a day off, but decided to gut it out and practice anyway.  Friday nights are won during those long, glamour-less practices during the week.

For Fairhaven, the mission is to win back to back Division 6 state titles.  Old Rochester?  They're a little hungrier for a championship.  The Bulldogs made it to the state title game in 2018, but lost.  The last time the Bulldogs won the state championship?  You'd have to go back 31 years to the undefeated 11-0 season that beat East Bridgewater in the Division 4 Super Bowl.
