Hit-And-Run Crash At Sagamore Bridge Kills 1 And Injures 5

State Police are looking for a dark-colored pickup truck with heavy front end damage headed towards Cape Cod. The driver caused a head-on accident before fleeing the scene.

The accident, which is under investigation this morning at the base of the Sagamore Bridge, left one dead, ejected another, left five injured and closed the bridge to traffic to and from the Cape Thursday night, according to police.

The driver of the minivan died, while the only occupant of the other pickup was ejected and taken to South Shore Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

There were five others in the minivan, all of which were taken to the hospital, two with life-threatening injuries, one of whom is a child.
