As much as it pains me to say it, Rob Gronkowski should be suspended for one game for his late hit against Tre'Davious White.  The Buffalo Bills cornerback was completely defenseless against Gronk's burst of anger...and could have done serious damage to one of his fellow players.  To his credit,  Gronk did offer an apology immediately after the game.  While his contrition may help his case, ironically, it may have been helped more if the All World Patriots Tight End had been ejected from the game.  White was undergoing concussion protocol at the end of last night's game.  If you don't think Gronk deserves to be suspended...ask yourself how you would be feeling if White laid that hit down on a defenseless Tom Brady?  There's a difference between playing tough and playing dirty.  Yesterday, for one play, Gronk played dirty.

As a Patriots fan, (assuming he gets suspended) I'd prefer to see Gronk serve his suspension without an appeal, so long as it is for one game.  Kicking the can down the road will not help...particularly if the suspension affects his availability for the Patriots all important game against the Steelers.  That game is likely to determine the #1 seed in the AFC.  The Patriots will need all hands on deck if they want to win that game and secure home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
