‘Golden Girls’ Puppet Parody Coming to Boston
Looks like Jackson's wish for the Golden Girls puppet show parody to come closer to the SouthCoast has been granted.
I too have been waiting patiently for the people behind the Golden Girls parody puppet show to add more tour dates to their schedule.
And after following them faithfully online, I have finally learned that yes, a Boston show date is official.
On Thursday, April 2, the show that has been getting rave reviews and big laughs is coming to The Wilbur in downtown Boston’s historic theatre district.
Get your tickets now, because this sounds like a can't miss girls night out. Or maybe get tickets for you and your grandma!
No matter who you take, it sounds like you will have a good time.
Here's just a taste of what you'll be in store for as the show creators remake the Golden Girls show open with their puppets.
The show is described as "an evening of cheesecake, laughter, jazzercise, shoulder pads, sex, and the elegant art of the quick-witted put down" where you get all of "Sophia’s get-rich-quick schemes, to Rose’s tales from St Olaf, Blanche’s insatiable hunt for men and the Fountain of Youth, and Dorothy’s daily struggle to make sense of her life."
I love all of it and can't wait until April to check it out.
The cast includes Casey Andrews as Dorothy, Ashley Brooke as Sophia, Meggie Doyle as Rose, and Erin Ulman as Blanche and tickets are on sale now with prices between $37 - $50.
