GNB Voc-Tech Students Are Collecting Food For Fun 107’s ‘Can’s Across The Park’

When people come together to help one another, it strengthens our community... When schools and students come together to help our community, it strengthens our future.

National Honor Society students from Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech as well as Business Professionals of America are working together to help WBSM and Fun 107's Cans Across the Park event.

The food drive began on Monday, October 31, 2016 and will end on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. Drop offs can be made in the school’s main lobby, located at located at 1121 Ashley Boulevard, in the city’s north end between 11 am and 12:15 pm daily during the drive.

All collections will then be transported to Fun 107's Cans Across the Park event at Buttonwood Park on Saturday, November 12th.

Students are asking for non-perishable food items such as:

  • Beans
  • Canned fruits & vegetables
  • Cereal
  • Cornbread mix
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Dessert mixes
  • Gravy
  • Instant potatoes
  • Mac & Cheese
  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Rice
  • Pancake mix and syrup
