Rally 2 Give Features Two SouthCoast Charities
On the heels of the Friends of Jack Foundation Gala last weekend, President Jill Fearons has no time to take a breath. The foundation will be represented by not one, but two cars in this year’s Rally 2 Give event.

The road-trip style driving fundraiser kicks off this weekend in Boston, with drivers making their way up to Quebec City, Canada. The mission is simple but powerful. Drivers want to raise money for Massachusetts-based charities including Friends of Jack and the ever-popular Gnome Surf in Fall River.
Rally 2 Give Launch Party in Boston
The event begins with a launch party at Encore Boston Harbor, where car enthusiasts can check out more than 75 high-end cars. Each vehicle is wrapped with sponsor logos and charity artwork, creating a fantasy camp atmosphere for anyone who has ever wanted to be a race car driver.

Who Represents Friends of Jack
Friends of Jack will be represented by Sam Philbrook, a current Friends of Jack board member, and Vernon Miles, owner of Milestone Mortgage.
“We have two cars designated this year. Every single dollar goes directly to the charities R2G choose," Fearons said. "Our first year, they gave us $25,000. Last year, they gave us and Gnome Surf $30,000 each. That's just in our community alone."
Why It Matters
Fearons believes Rally 2 Give favors supporting smaller charities because the donations make a greater impact locally. To date, Friends of Jack has raised more than $3.5 million, with just $50,000 coming from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The rest has been fueled by donors.
