‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Star Appearing in Westport This Month

One of Westport's favorite places is hosting an afternoon with the very talented Karyn Parsons later this month.

Karyn will be showcasing her new book How High The Moon on Saturday March 30 at 11 a.m. at Partners Village Store and Kitchen in Westport. The book is recommended for readers age 8-12.

Karyn, who has a summer home in Westport, was best know for her role on Fresh Prince of Bel-Air as Will Smith's cousin, Hilary Banks. When she left the acting world to pursue her writing, she kept in touch with industry people she had met through the TV show such as Queen Latifah and Chris Rock, who helped her narrate the story.

This is going to be a fun afternoon and a great opportunity to meet Karyn and learn about her book, How High the Moon. It's a story about one girl’s journey to reconnect with her mother and learn the truth about her father.
