Freetown Plans Free Outdoor Movie Nights for Families This Summer
Nothing says summer like watching movies outside. The SouthCoast doesn't really have a nearby drive-in theatre, so most of us are regulated to catching some movies that are being shown in public spots. Maybe it's because of the advancements with at home entertainment systems, but even those types of outdoor movie nights seem to be becoming more and more rare.

The Town of Freetown, however, knows how to have some fun, so it has handpicked three Friday nights over the next couple of months to have a free movie showing. Of course, all of the titles were selected with family fun in mind, so everyone leaves happy.
Where to Watch Freetown's Free Movie Nights
All of the free movies will be shown under the stars at the Freetown Elementary School. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs. The movies will start at dusk, but there will be family-friendly fun waiting for you upon your early arrival

Freetown Movie Night Schedule and Details
The first film will be The Garfield Movie. It will be shown on Friday night, August 15. The event will run from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
A Minecraft Movie will be shown two weeks later on Friday night, August 29. That event will also have a 7 p.m. start time.
Finally, Karate Kid: Legends will be shown on Friday night, September 26. That event begins an hour earlier at 6 p.m. and is scheduled to wrap up at roughly 9 p.m.
Food Truck and Family Fun
Don't worry about cooking. Food and ice cream trucks will be there with goodies available for sale. You'll want to remember bug spray, though. While Freetown is beautiful country, no one is looking to get eaten alive out there.
