A legendary pizza place will be opening its first Rhode Island location soon.

Frank Pepe pizza is one of the oldest and best-known pizzerias in the entire country and now it is coming to Warwick.

The original Frank Pepe's opened in New Haven, Conn. back in 1925 and in the 93 years since has expanded with locations in Fairfield, Danbury, Mohegan Sun, West Hartford, Chestnut Hill, Waterbury, Yonkers NY and Manchester.

And now the first Rhode Island Frank Pepe's is on its way.

The pizzeria's website only says 'opening soon' right now, but they do have a link to apply for jobs that claims the chain will be ready to roll by late March/early April.

The newest Frank Pepe's location will be off of Universal Blvd near the Red Wing Shoes and in a small plaza that also includes an Olive Garden and a Smokey Bones.

Frank Pepe's serves up New Haven-style, thin crust pizza made in coal-fired ovens. It was the preferred pizza of President Ronald Reagan.

Other notable celebrities to have eaten at the historic New Haven pizzeria are Robert DeNiro, Meryl Streep, Kelly Clarkson, Vince Vaughn, Bill Murray and even Bill Clinton.

Who knows who will be stopping in to eat at the new Warwick location?
