What Taylor Swift Called Foxboro’s Gillette Stadium During Eras Tour
Pop diva Taylor Swift, the first woman to be named Time Magazine's Person of the Year twice, has a cute little nickname for her fans. They are known as Swifties.
Parade says Swifties have over a dozen cute nicknames for their heroine, beginning with "Tay" (short for Taylor). Others include "Tay Tay," "T.Swizzle," and "Blondie," to name a few.
But since we are living in a world where nicknames rule – it is Tay Tay's world after all, and we're just living in it – it is not surprising that she even has a nickname for some of her favorite performance venues.
Take, for example, Foxboro's famed Gillette Stadium. Taylor Swift packed almost 200,000 fans into what she called "Foxy Foxboro" over three nights in May of 2023 as part of the hugely successful Eras Tour.
According to the Worcester Telegraph, Swift referred to Gillette as "the most joyful place on Earth" during one of the shows. It probably wasn't the night she performed for three and a half hours in the pouring rain. It remains to be seen if she'll return to Gillette when the New England Patriots take on the Kansas City Chiefs.
Taylor Alison Swift was born on December 13, 1989, in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. She spent her early years on a Christmas tree farm. That could explain a lot.
Kenney Chesney, the country music superstar and Taylor Swift friend and fan, reacted on social media to Swfit being named Time's Person of the Year.
"I knew looking in your eyes that first time on stage with us, you had it," he said. "It's been awesome watching you shine."
Swift began her career as a country performer before switching to pop. It was a wise business decision.
