Former Fall River Benny’s Will Be A Gym

The former Benny's building in Fall River has been leased and will soon have a new life as a gym.

Get ready to get your fitness on Fall River, cause Planet Fitness is heading to the 20,000 square foot former Benny's space on Rhode Island Ave.

The currently empty space in the Southway Plaza will become the new gym and according to Fall River Development News Planet Fitness plans to spend well over one million dollars on the new state-of-the-art facility.

So if you want the latest equipment in your judgement free zone, this will clearly be the Planet Fitness for you.

There is already a Planet Fitness in Fall River in the Tower Mill on Quarry Rd, but it doesn't sound like that location will close with the opening of the new one. Rather Spindle City will have two PF gyms to choose from.

No word on when the new location will actually open, but with that much money being spent on renovations, I'd imagine it will be later this fall if not closer to the winter.

Perhaps when you're ready to make your 2019 New Year's resolutions, the new gym will be there for you.
