Fall River Woman Gabby Rolon Set to Shine on Wheel of Fortune New Year’s Special
Fall River resident Gabby Rolon is stepping into the national spotlight as she competes on a special New Year’s episode of Wheel of Fortune, airing tonight at 7 p.m.
Originally from Taunton, Rolon now calls Fall River home.
Her journey to the iconic game show began with a little nudge from her fiancé, who encouraged her to apply. Initially skeptical, Rolon decided to take a chance – and it paid off.
One of the standout moments of her experience was meeting the show’s new host, Ryan Seacrest. For Rolon, it was a surreal encounter.
“I remember watching him when I was seven years old, and to meet him in person – he’s just so friendly and down-to-earth. It was incredible,” she said.
She was equally thrilled to meet the legendary Vanna White, who left a lasting impression.
“She was stunning, and she’s just as kind as you’d imagine,” Rolon said.
Rolon also revealed an unexpected challenge: the iconic Wheel of Fortune wheel itself.
“Oh, it’s incredibly heavy,” she said. “You really have to use all your upper body strength to push it forward. They let us practice spins before the show, and I was so grateful for that because I definitely messed up a few times.”
Rolon will take her place on the far left, wearing a black dress paired with a bold red blazer.
Be sure to tune in to Wheel of Fortune tonight at 7 p.m. to cheer on Fall River’s own Gabby Rolon as she takes her shot at spinning – and winning – on this beloved game show.
