A Fall River woman was arrested early Monday morning after she tried to kick a police officer.

ABC6 is reporting that 25-year-old Judith Brown was arrested just before 1:30 a.m. Monday morning when Taunton police responded to a disturbance on Oak Street. Police say friends had taken away the keys to Brown's vehicle and wouldn't allow her to drive home, as she was highly intoxicated.

When a police officer tried to speak with Brown to help arrange to get her home, she tried to knock his notebook out of his hand and then pushed him. She tried pushing him again, also attempting to kick him.

Brown was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a police officer and one count of resisting arrest.
