Fall River Program Gives You the Perfect Clothes for Job Interviews
Each week, we team up with Southcoast Health for our Southcoast Health Community Spotlight program. The purpose of the spotlight is to give attention to some of the region's most important non-profit and charity organizations.
This week, we welcomed Wendy Garf-Lipp into the Fun 107 studio to talk about her efforts at United Neighbors of Fall River.
Fall River Neighbors Helping Neighbors
Garf-Lipp told us about a program with United Neighbors of Fall River that allows people to browse racks of suits, dresses, and dress clothes to help them look great for job interviews. This is all provided at no cost. Our favorite part of this program is that it is open to everyone. No one has to show identification and you don't have to be qualified by another organization. You simply show up and look for clothes.
This program can really help someone's self-confidence heading into an interview or the first day of a new job. Looking the part can put you at a great advantage.
Another program offered by United Neighbors of Fall River is a similar type of setup, only it is targeted to help people get together at home.
People who might be moving into their first apartment, or a new apartment, might find themselves without basic things such as pots, pans, utensils, sheets, towels and blankets.
'Again, there's is nothing to do but show up and shop around. Everything is offered at no cost.
