A grand jury has determined that the Tiverton and Fall River police officers involved in the June shooting death of an 80-year-old man acted lawfully.

ABC6 is reporting that the grand jury determined that the officers were legally justified when they shot and killed Edward Acquisto after police say he killed 81-year-old John Cloud.

Police say the shooting took place in a Tiverton cemetery where Cloud met with Acquisto to discuss a large amount of money that borrowed a lot of money from a church where Cloud was a parishioner.

After shooting Cloud, Acquisto was later shot and killed by officers.
