FALL RIVER — A man who was stabbed Wednesday afternoon in Fall River and rushed to the hospital with critical injuries is now in stable condition, a police spokesman confirmed.
Fall River Police Capt. Barden Castro said the department received a report of a stabbing at 2:37 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Nashua Street.
Officers learned that a man had been stabbed in the chest and neck, Castro said.
First responders found the victim and immediately took him to Rhode Island Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Hospital workers were able to treat the victim and stabilize his condition, according to Castro.
