Fall River Popeyes Employee Arrested for Allegedly Attacking Customer
FALL RIVER (WBSM) — A Fall River Popeyes employee has been arrested for allegedly throwing a metal tray at a customer's face on Monday, February 19.
Colby McCarthy, 19, was arrested and is facing assault and battery charges with a dangerous weapon.
According to officials, the incident happened around 6:40 p.m. at the Popeyes located on Pleasant Street in Fall River, after McCarthy argued with a customer over the length of time it took to receive the food.
Police say that during the argument, McCarthy allegedly threw a metal tray at the customer, striking them above the left eye.
The customer was transferred to the hospital for medical attention.
