Fall River Police Search for Suspect in Shooting Incident
FALL RIVER — Fall River Police are searching for a suspect after an apparent shooting in the city.
On Tuesday, January 23rd at approximately 8 p.m., Officers Neil Rodrigues and David Reed, and Sergeants Bryan Nadeau and William Falandys, responded to Webster Street in regards to a shots fired complaint.
On their arrival, they began a canvass of the area. Officer Reed located seven spent shell casings and one live round on the ground next to a residence.
Sgt. Falandys located a 2010 Toyota with damage to the rear window and tire. A projectile was located on the front seat. Sgt. Nedeau located two bullet holes in the Post Office building located at 1622 Pleasant Street.
Sgt. Anthony Elumba of the Crime Scene Unit was notified, and responded to collect evidence. During Sgt. Elumba’s canvass of the area, he located a 2016 Ford with bullet damage to the front bumper.
Witnesses stated they observed a white male, approximately five-foot-seven and about 170 pounds, wearing a black baggy hooded sweatshirt and dark colored jeans firing the shots, before running to a dark-colored Nissan and fleeing the area.
