Fall River Mayor Jasiel Correia Arrested on Federal Fraud Charges

FALL RIVER — Fall River Mayor Jasiel Correia has been arrested.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for Massachusetts has announced that Correia has been arrested on fraud charges. The young mayor is accused of defrauding investors and using funds to pay for his "lavish lifestyle" and his political campaign.
