Fall River Man Struck On Highway
A Fall River man was struck on Route 24 North Monday night and airlifted to the hospital.
The unidentified 67-year-old man was outside of his 2010 Honda Civic and in the breakdown lane when the accident occurred.
A 59-year-old Taunton woman in a 1997 Toyota Avalon struck the victim around 9:45 p.m. Monday night on Route 24 North between Exits 8A and 8B.
The man was airlifted to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.
No word on why he was outside of his vehicle at the time of the accident, but police are investigating the incident.
Police have not said if the driver will face any charges.
