Fall River Man Arrested for Drugs, Guns, and Vials of Steroids
FALL RIVER — Fall River police have arrested a city man on a slew of different charges after a drugs bust yesterday turned up guns, drugs, and multiple vials of suspsected steroids.
Police said detectives arrested 36-year-old Jason Chaves after members of the department's vice and gang unit searched his home in the 200 block of Pearce Street on Tuesday.
They said they found two loaded illegal firearms as well as suspected drugs and vials of suspected steroids.
Specifically, detectives said they recovered a Jimenez Arms 9mm and a Glock 9mm as well as eight vials of testosterone etanthate, two vials of testosterone acetate, two vials of anastrozole, and one vial of sterile solution.
Police also said they found around 1,250 bags of suspected fentanyl weighing 25 grams.
The detectives also seized $4,587 in cash as part of the suspected illegal drug operation along with illegal fireworks, according to police.
Police said Chaves does not have a license to own a firearm.
He has been charged with multiple firearms and ammunitions offenses, trafficking in 18 grams or more of opioids, two counts of possessing a class E drug, and unlawful possession of fireworks.
